Spring’s Awakening Performances

Even though the performances seem like ancient history by now. I have to comment on them or fail this class. OK here goes. In general, I thought the performances were great. As a whole, I believe that each group created a nice, original presentation despite the limiting factors. I liked group one’s innovation of ‘the beggar dream’ and using Ruby’s arm to hit Norma. The music was OK, but unnecessary. Group two, I really thought Evan was hillarious acting as the mom. Even though his voice was mostly inaudible, i knew most of the lines from reading the silly book so many times, so I was able to fill in the blanks and concentrate on the silly facial expressions. Nice acting Evan. Group four, I thought was trying to find a balance between serious and funny David as comic relief, (”give me your hand”) Barbara and Robert as the more serious roles, and Priya and Semema who took other lines from other areas of the play really added to the presentation. And we can’t forget Jackie for his awesome illustrations in all the scenes, they were great.
PS thanks priya for the link to billy the mime I really enjoyed it especially the salutations in the beginning and end
PSS John, I’m not upset at Columbia for inviting Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, not anymore, by doing this act, they are displaying to the world what kind of person he really is.

Please tag your name so you can get credit. This is a very good evaluation. And also it should be commented on the blog directly where the assignment was given.

Here is the link and copy this entire thing to that thread:

No, I had class. But I did learn something new. The guy can’t even speak basic English, which, I believe, is a prerequisite to becoming a political figure of any country. It’s not that difficult. If I can speak both Persian and English fluently, then why can’t he?
