Microgrids and Electricity Use at Brooklyn College’s Boylan Hall

How did the COVID-19 pandemic impact electricity use at Brooklyn College’s Boylan Hall? How can we make CUNY college campuses more efficient? To find out, read our project.

We describe in our poster the possible benefits of a microgrid system at Brooklyn college, and compare pre-pandemic energy use (in early March) with the energy use during the pandemic-precipitated shutdown of campus (from mid March until early November) at Boylan Hall, a building at Brooklyn College that houses many administrative and student services, classrooms, and the dining hall.
