As COVID-19 continues to spread, it is important to understand how confounding factors, such as air quality, can affect the rates of respiratory illness in communities in NYC.
Nitric Oxide and Sulfur oxide are two of six major air pollutants controlled under the Clean Air Act, our project examines the way these pollutants interact with NYC conditions.
Our project focuses on the average ozone concentration in each borough and the correlation between ozone attributable hospitalizations in children and adults.
