My Parents Transnational Story

My parents immigrated to the U.S. from Hong Kong. They still follow Hong Kong news after 30 years via the Hong Kong T.V. channel, even though they are permanent settlers of U.S. and are not discriminated against. Hong Kong still interacts with the people that moved out; it is giving 6000 dollars to the people who were born in HK. My parents are able to keep in contact with my grandparents who live in Hong Kong. We can Skype our relatives in Venezuela. Even marriages can be made through technology. My cousin is getting married to a girl in China, and they send emails to maintain their relationship.

Side note: I wish I could have a dual citizenship, and I applaud the United State’s tolerance of dual citizenship.

Because the world is becoming more globalized, transnationality is becoming acceptable.
