I am a junior at Brooklyn College, double majoring in Biology and Spanish Language. As a part of the Corporations, Technology and Society group, I connected the technology we encountered in the novel to the research being done today. I was surprised to see how we have been making strides with genetic engineering because this branch of science did not exist until just a few decades ago. Each of my group members and I made advertisements we believe we would see in The Year of the Flood and I embedded all three onto the website. I also helped make the site look as it does as one of the site designers.
