Walking into a candy store as a little toddler-oh the memories. Every time I enter Hirshleifers, specifically ETC by the coveted boutique, I feel butterflies in my stomach just as I did as a little girl in Dylan’s. Etc-doesn’t it just evoke a playful and whimsical atmosphere– one filled with tiny treasures and glorious goodies? Well, not exactly. Etc is home to the most up and coming, hip and chic designers. From the most current, coveted Balenciaga clutch, to Moncler jackets in all styles and sizes (even for the spoiled Upper East Side kiddies) this place has it all.
Just as I was always told “to look and not touch” by Mama Dearest when I was a five year old fashionista, in this store too I feel like I’m given these sets of rules-most items being priced at a month’s rent. However, as with everything in life, if you dig deep enough you will eventually reach the “gold” and wow I did. These wrap bracelets by Catherine Michiels are perfectly priced and the perfect army candy too. Wrap this multi colored bracelet around your wrist and you’ve got an instant update and a splash of color to add to your existing arm candy. (In my case, this pop of color really enhances my all gold look.)
