Hello! My name is Leanna Bornkamp, and I’m a freshman at Baruch College. Although I’ve grown up in parts of Long Island, I live in the dorms during the semesters. At Baruch College, I plan to major in Management of Musical Enterprises, a combination of business and, my favorite, music! Also, I intend to minor in journalism, in order to write music reviews as a bit of a “side project”as I make my way through a changing music industry.
In my spare time, I spend a lot of time exploring my passion for music. I’ve always loved singing, and I’ve been playing guitar and piano for a few years (thanks to a dad with perfect pitch). Also, my other love is horses! On the East End of Long Island, the best part of my backyard is the barn. Betcha-50, my retired reining champion, has been my best buddy for 12 years.
Macaulay, through the seminars in which I’ve participated, has offered new insights into the city that has always instilled in me a sense of wonder—and now, with this website, a whole new way of seeing New York City is at our fingertips: through its celebration. I hope you enjoy the website as much as I did!
