The opening page features a slider. We can change the colors, the links and other elements around the slider.  Right now, there are seven slide.

To display your image in the slider add it as a featured image. the option is shown at the bottom of the screenshot below and is located under the categories dashboard item.  After you have added the featured image, enter a description, categorize and tag it before saving.  Categories and other metadata help to organize content for later use.   Also, categories can be linked to on menu below the slider so that only category relevant featured images show.
