CarvingWomen is a social networking site I designed for women who carve trails on waves, roads and slopes. When I began the project in 2005, I saw a need for a forum where women could share information and experience related to extreme sport. By the time the site launched in 2008, other networking outlets had gained popularity superseding the need for a niche forum. I maintain the site as a tribute to trailblazing women.
