Welcome to Science Forward!

Science Forward is a skills-based course that focuses on scientific thinking in the context of a variety of different fields of science. This course explores scientific and technological topics that have had an impact on contemporary New York; environmental issues in New York City and communication techniques required to present these issues. We will focus on the concept of sustainability-specifically as it relates to integrated urban water systems. The goals of this class are to challenge you to a) think in a multi-disciplinary and even transdisciplinary way, b) to apply good ‘Science Sense’ skills, and b) hone your collaboration and communication skills as we work together throughout the semester to learn about urban water issues and approaches for addressing these issues.

Prerequisite: CHC1, Seminar I and CHC2, Seminar II.
