I chose to use a picture of a sari because recently I realized that I wear Indian outfits just as often as I wear normal “street clothes”. I thought that it was very interesting that exhibit represented many cultures because normal when I think about “modern fashion” I think about contemporary American fashion. For me I normally follow evolving Indian wear because I do a lot of sining for religious functions weekly which means I tend to need a lot of Indian outfits, so much so that I have a closet dedicated to all my Indian outfits.
