i chose the hijab because I felt that it resonated the most with me compared to all the other items on display in the exhibit. I could’ve picked the hoodie or traditional south asian clothes but i felt that the hijab was the most recognizable and identifying piece of clothing that I own and wear in my life, so it seemed like the obvious choice to me.
