“What you saw was relative to your position in time and space.” -John Berger

This quote by John Berger reflects the idea that the way that you look and interpret art is dependent on your current position in the world. Many art pieces have multiple layers to them that viewers  may not notice at first glances. If a group of people were to look at the same art piece they would all most likely have a different interpretation. I found this same effect when the class visited Panorama of the City of New York. While we were there everyone was looking at the same model of New York City but was noticing different aspects. Some people were focusing on the models of the Never Built projects while others were focusing on finding their homes and Queens College. What I noticed is that even if you managed to find Queens College it was only a tiny part of the entirety that is New York City.
