- 10 faculty members elected annually by and from full-time faculty who:
- Are Macaulay consortial faculty
- Are teaching (or taught) a Macaulay course in the current academic year
- And taught a Macaulay course in the previous academic year
- 5 consortial faculty or Distinguished Lecturers appointed by the Dean
- 4 students, one elected annually by and from each undergraduate class of Macaulay Honors College
The Dean serves as the chairperson of the College Council and presides over its meetings.
