This is a picture of me and my best friends (except a few who couldn’t make it) when we went out to celebrate three of their birthdays. It took some effort to set up the timer to take the picture but I love it, my friends are some of the most important people in my life. 🙂

I Am Anthony Viola
Most of us have been acquainted already but there are some things most people don’t know about me. For starters, I was born in Brooklyn, the birthplace of both of my parents and where they met. For about ten years, I lived back and forth throughout the boroughs until we moved to Pennsylvania where I went to school and graduated. For the latter half of my high school career, I worked full-time in a pet store where puppies and kittens were the main priority. I quickly moved up the rankings and found myself in a position of leadership within the first year of my employment. Today, I live in the Towers and plan on finding an apartment next year. I currently work for Apple in Grand Central Station so a lot of my ‘free’ time is spent there.
A big part of my life is my Italian heritage. In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a lot of the residents were of Italian decent. Every year, on Havemeyer and N. 9th Street is an Italian feast ran by the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Food, games, and other Italian-decorated events take place over the course of two weeks each July. I continue to go back every year and enjoy zeppoles and Italian steak sandwiches.
Arianna Injeian
Hey guys! So as many of you already know, I’m Arianna. I’m originally from Connecticut, specifically a small town called Wilton within Fairfield County. During middle school, I moved to Nyack, NY, a town in Rockland County (the county right across from Westchester). When I moved to Nyack, I began to partake in a lot of water sports since I was right on the Hudson. It was then that I began to join a sailing and rowing team– two sports I still hold very dear to my heart. In addition to water sports, I’m also very much into music. I have been playing piano for about 12 years now and even joined the Macaulay Chamber Society. Here at school I am majoring in medical anthropology on the pre-med track, and hopefully, I will be minoring in Spanish. I love to travel and would love to eventually work for Doctors Without Borders.
The picture I chose to use is a photo of my sister and I at her wedding. My sister and I are very close and I really look up to her. She’s a special education teacher who lives in Massachusetts with her husband.

Kylie Lang
Hey everyone! My name is Kylie Lang and I was born and raised in Kew Gardens, Queens. Although I’ve lived in the same place my whole life, I love traveling. It’s one of my favorite things to do; however, I don’t travel as often as I’d like (due to time and monetary restrictions). When I was younger, I made yearly visits to Trinidad which seemed to be the main thing I looked forward to over the summer. My mother is Trinidadian and my father is Vietnamese. I also have family in Canada, France and England which are all places I’ve visited.
Another passion of mine is music. I listen to almost all types of music you can think of. Recently, I’ve been preoccupied with soca, metalcore and edm. I used to take piano lessons in high school for four years and also played tennis during that time. Currently, I hope to join the volleyball team for the next available season and other clubs at CCNY. During my time here, my plan is to major in Biology on the pre-medical track. I always envisioned myself as a veterinarian ever since I adopted my first cat. Now, I have been taking care of a mother and her three adorable kittens for the past four years.
Michaela McGovern
Hi everyone; my name is Michaela. I was born in Queens, but I moved to Westchester when I was four. Although I’m still undeclared, I plan to major in Psychology. I’m especially interested in abnormal psychology–the darker side of humanity, I guess–which is why I’m leaning towards an ultimate career in clinical psychology for now. I’m extremely happy to be at CCNY, although I’m pretty overwhelmed by the change in social/physical environment and everything.
I love traveling with a passion, and I want to eventually go to East Asia and see places like India and Japan. I’m also pretty enamored with the idea of going to Austria, especially now that I’ve seen The Sound of Music close to a hundred times. I’ve been going to Ireland since I was a baby, as my dad was born and raised there (he immigrated here when he was twenty two), and it is possibly my favorite place in the entire world, despite the somewhat depressing weather.
Movies and music also make me really excited/happy, so you can talk to me about either of those things any time! It doesn’t matter if you have different preferences; I love being exposed to new things. 🙂
Hello.
Hello. My name is Adam Wolfson. I’m from New York, I was born and raised here. Academically, I am currently undecided. I’ve got some aground in art but not a ton, mostly just a high school art history course. I’m a little intimidated by this class, honestly. The material is very interesting, but it has a very different culture than what I was used to in high school. Terribly sorry for the brevity here, I’m not very good at talking about myself.
Best of luck,
-Adam
Regarding pictures: I just decided to growth the view out my window, Since most of you know what I look like anyway and I don’t have any ver visually interesting selfies. Here it is:
Lucia Lopez
Hi, my name is Lucia Lopez. I’m from Brooklyn and I commute to CCNY. It’s almost a 2-hour commute but I don’t really mind because I get to sleep or get stuff done on the train. For now, I want to double-major in History and Spanish, but I might change Spanish to Psychology or Political Science. The career that interests me the most right now is teaching, and I’m torn between wanting to teach high school Social Studies or kindergarten/elementary school. Working for the United Nations also seems like a career I would like, but I’m using my time in college to figure out what I want to do. If I have the opportunity, I want to serve in the Peace Corps when I graduate because I want to use my passion for human rights activism and my love for traveling to help people who don’t have the resources I or others have had to prosper.
My parents are Peruvian and Argentinian, and I speak Spanish and English fluently. I’ve been to both countries, and I really want to go back to see my family. I also want to travel to other countries, like India, Italy, and Brazil. I like playing volleyball for fun, cooking, and going out with my friends. I also love listening to music; I mainly listen to rock, rap, and music in Spanish. Some of my favorite artists in these genres are Arctic Monkeys, J Cole, and Marc Anthony. 🙂
Albert Connolly
Hey everyone. My name is Albert Connolly. I am from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and I have lived there my whole life. I went to the same school building for seven years, from sixth grade until twelfth grade. That is why I am excited to make the transition to City College. I plan on majoring in Spanish Secondary Education. I have always enjoyed learning Spanish and it is something I want to continue in the future.
I have had very limited experiences with art, and therefore, I am looking forward to exposing my self to something new. I took a film class in high school and created some short films. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on a mosaic last year. However, other than that I do no regularly create art.
