- International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts (IAFA)
- Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts (see especially Indexes and Lists; request individual articles via ILL if need be)
- Tor.com (online reviewing/blogging community; among other things they are hosting a multi-year/review discussion of Martin’s books that features high-quality commentary from SF authors, many of whom participate on this site, and fans)
- Tolkien at Oxford podcast series (I don’t know how relevant these lectures are but they are damn good)
- The Science Fiction and Fantasy Research Database (aggregates both scholarly and journalistic sources)

- WisCon is the most relevant convention; features both academic and fan panels and papers.
