The Jubilee Project released “Picture Perfect” today. I can’t reveal too much about it besides that you need to watch it, haha.

This video was really deep and heartfelt to me. I can’t imagine such a loss at such a young age… or even in general. It’s very difficult trying to cope with losing a loved one, but time continues so we need to push onward. It doesn’t mean that we forget about them or let their thoughts drag us down. If anything, that loss is meant to hellp encourage you to work hard as well as possible, especially since life is short after all. Treasure whatever happens in life now, because you don’t know what could happen next. (“YOLO” – You only live once)

Anyhow, it’s not just a discussion about how to cope with loss of a loved one and treasuring what moments you do have with people. This video’s intent was also to raise awareness for leukemia patients and to encourage viewers to join the bone marrow registry. One can be found here.

I’ve mentioned before about Janet Liang here. She is one of many people that are diagnosed with leukemia. The only way she can be saved is either through chemotherapy or bone marrow transplant. Sometimes, bone marrow transplant is really important; these transplants are usually most effective between people of the same race or ethnicity, but “while the likelihood of a white patient finding a donor is 80% but the chances for a minority patient is less than 30%.”[1] That’s very little people. Being able to join would really make a difference for people like her.
