Anyhow, the following is a treat from The Jubilee Project. Read the rest of this entry »

I’m Yours on the ukulele

A little kid plays I’m Yours by Jason Mraz. It’s so adorable. Both the song and him, haha.

Take it Slow

10 04 2012

Wong Fu Productions just released a new short called “Take it Slow.” Hope you like it as much as I did.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iigHz-uxboE&h=350&w=450]

It is really true that many of the current songs out there are really upbeat, but many of the slow songs are either really sad or used in the past… or both. Value the moments that you have with people, no matter how short they may be. You never know if all that will fade away.

If you’re curious as to what song played at the end of the video, the song can be played below.

If you have been keeping up with my site, you would recognize Sam Kang from his song Something There.

Skilled 5-year-old

4 04 2012

You guys have played Dance Dance Revolution, right? Meet 5-year-old Ryota from Japan.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JzcqALklRs&h=350&w=450]

I have no comment except to ask, why you no get AAA? Haha. Well, he didn’t miss any of them, but he did get a “Great” for a couple of them. Still insanely impressive. I lack that skill…

Paul “PK” Kim and Kollaberation

20 03 2012

Meet Paul “PK” Kim, the founder of “an arts and entertainment nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting positive and accurate perceptions of Asians and Pacific Islanders.” This is done by allowing young artists to show their talent. Known as Kollaberation, this program opened in 2000 in Los Angeles and is currently hosting 15 shows across 13 cities in North America. Paul Kim himself is a comedian. He feels that laughter is the best remedy to remove stress for a while.

Link is here.

The actual series will be out on April 14, about three weeks from now. It will star Korra, the new avatar after Aang. It takes place after Aang’s reign, and Korra will be learning airbending from Aang’s son, Tenzin.

Megan Lee and Mike Choi

12 03 2012

The following is a song from Megan Lee and her friend Mike Choi.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYHOlioOcu4&h=350&w=450]

It’s such a nice song, and the harmony works so well… too bad I don’t know Korean… good thing there’s subtitles, though it’s slightly difficult to read at times. Ah well.

Mike Choi also has his own channel, but he only has one song up and one introductory video. I’m sure he will succeed in the future. =)

Update on Invisible Children

9 03 2012

First off, this link leads to the response from Invisible Children regarding many of the issues brought up.

My favorite quote from the article: “credibility in the eyes of policymakers, fellow non-profit workers, LRA-affected communities, and YOU is our most important asset, so we would like to encourage you, if you have critiques, to get specific: find facts, dig deeper, and we’ll gladly continue the conversation from there. If encountering something you disagree with, suggest an alternative to what we are doing- and we will absolutely take heed. If it’s a matter of opinion, taste, humor, or style: we apologize, and will have to agree to disagree. As the poet Ke$ha says, ‘we are who we are.'”

Next, I was able to find a video made by Wong Fu Productions back in 2005. The music video is pretty interesting, and it’s amazing how they tried to raise awareness of this issue in Uganda even back then. Look where they are now!

Yes, Kony must be stopped. The ways to employ it may vary, but we shall see how this unfolds as time goes on.
