Reference Assessment
Three library faculty members participated in a faculty development program known as the Assessment Institute. They designed a survey about service at the reference desk. The survey ran for several months. Results were analyzed and discussed in departmental meetings. Changes were made in reference desk policies and reference desk service will be assessed again to determine the effectiveness of the changes.
The same team intends to do an assessment of service at the circulation and reserve desks.
