Teaching Evaluations
We have been involved in a collaboration with the Office of Converging Technologies and the Teaching Excellence & Evaluations Committee of the Academic Senate, on the administration and dissemination of teaching evaluations. The project began several years ago, when the college decided to transition to an online tool for collecting evaluations. This triggered the development of a tool to collect teaching evaluations. We are now in the process of replacing this tool with an outsourced product. At the same time, our campus has always published summaries of the quantitative responses for teaching evaluations, and we have been part of the process to develop a website, http://courses.qc.cuny.edu, which displays these data as well as schedule and enrollment information for courses being offered at Queens. We are about to form a new committee to work on a revision of this display site.
