The End of Self-Realization!

Alright, so guys, this is my last blog post of self-realization (and you will eventually see why). I was in my room postulating different ways I can make time to go see the arts during the future. During the time I was thinking about the ways, my parents wanted me to do some house chores; however, I didn’t pay attention and they were infuriated with me for not doing my chores. Therefore, I explained to them that I want to go to additional shows!! They told me that don’t worry about going to them now; there are always advances of art and you can not just see the advances later but also the importance of it in society.

Class Coming to an End…’=D

As I was listening to Professor Judell about the analysis of art in society/our presentations, I became more and more depressed as I realized that the end of this fun, amazing cultural road-trip is coming to a close. Some thoughts that were floating on my mind was: one definite unique, cool aspect of this class was that we always went out as a group to the performances (with some few exceptions), but the unity among us made the trips more memorable. Also, the ending of today;s class with Daniel’s group song (and the Marx Brothers documentary) really made me think of what we did this semester and the plethora of arts we learned. On Friday, I hope we have a mini-celebration type “event” for the “journeys” we had and especially for Professor Judell as his immense inspiration for us would never be forgotten.

Self-Realization Part 2!

I was in the subway this morning sitting bored Hence, eventually, I dazed off onto a nap. Surprisingly, I had a “day-mare” involving art! I was at game show versing Mohammed in an art contest of who can create the most intricate yet an aesthetic piece of art. Mohammed looked down at me and it was so intimidating that I dazed off! TIme was up and Mohammed won the contest! I woke up not only from the daze but from the dream. I realize, focus is an essence when not just creating art but also of neglecting your “enemies.” (P.S. Wish I realized this during the contest!)

A Self-Realization!

So, today in Professor Judell’s class, we reviewed over several common mistakes in essays that students like us typically make. One of the excerpts mentioned in the lesson included mine and he emphasized how the reader gets a better sense of what you want to express just by being simple (i.e. don’t think too hard, but just be yourself). Once he implied that statement to us, I thought to myself, “You know what, that is really true.” You can see seemingly simplistic art (shown below) that may actually convey a deeper, powerful meaning to the viewers. Not only have I learned to write/think better in my pieces but also the ability to express my ideas in a more efficient way.

Simple yet Creative Art

Magic of Art

In the Chelsea Art Gallery Tour, artworks of various artistst portrayed lifestyles of people or different themes of life (i.e. famine, origami, and others). This kind of view of art entices audiences from different “ethic” values and promotes a greater diversity in the very own NYC! (:D)
