Dear Students,

Tonight’s the night!! Meet at the Metropolitan Opera for Verdi’s Aida. BE ON TIME. Curtain is at 7:30. Check in with me inside the opera house at the family circle level entrance (upstairs) by 7:15 at the latest.

There will be three acts, with two substantial intermissions. Bring yourself some snacks, and plan to explore the lobby and grand staircase between acts–and to do some people-watching. Click here and scroll down to “estimated run time” for more info on the structure of the evening.

Dress comfortably, and dress up if you want to! It looks like the rain may come back in the evening; consider bringing an umbrella even if it’s not raining when you head out.

For tomorrow’s class, we have seven photography presentations (if you didn’t go last week, you’re up this week!) plus a discussion of the opera and readings.

See you all soon!
