Norling Tibet Kitchen is a Tibetan restaurant that has been in business for 9 months. The cultural environment consisted of ethnic music, a statue of Buddha and rich, fragrant dishes. Although the restaurant is quite spacious, there was only one table that was occupied.
Customers: most are from either Tibet or Nepal.
Do they know about the BID?
Although the representative was unaware of the bid, he said that it was needed because the streets are crowded and polluted. He complained about cigarette butts left outside of their store that the employees are responsible to clean so they not only have to maintain the inside but also the outside of the restaurant. When told the rents would increase from the BID, he said that the rent is already very expensive so if they are going to be paying that much, it is necessary that the neighborhood be cleaned.
