"Sounds quiet interesting. Korea has a very similar tradition as well. On the day of the passing of an ancestor we would have a "celebration" with a feast for them. And we do the same thing on New Years as well. I also believe that in traditional Korean families, only males were allowed to attend these ceremonies but today everyone participates. To my knowledge, this "celebration" is very rare to see in America today."
