"This is amazingly thorough and well-thought out. Your interviews really captured the differences in how each culture celebrates Easter, and really changed the way I thought of Easter. For my whole life, I've imagined Easter to be this holiday about painting eggs and hiding them (childish, I know), but after reading your post, I've finally realized that the holiday is more about religion and is celebrated almost in a Thanksgiving-type manner. I really like it."

"I have found a couple of articles online that gave evidence that this holiday is indeed celebrated in the United States, but as a whole, it's not largely overshadowed by other Lunar New Year's festivities. Here's a link to one of the articles that I found: http://www.nycresistor.com/2010/02/14/lantern-festival/ Despite the shortcomings though, I have a few relatives I will try to interview about their feelings towards this holiday, and why it's fallen in popularity on it's transition from China to America. According to online sources, the Lantern Festival is celebrated here in New York, but for some reason, I haven't really seen any events corresponding to that part of the holiday even though I visit Chinatown pretty regularly. In addition to some celebration here in New York, I've found that there are also people who celebrate the Lantern Festival in California (most likely due to the large Asian population there), and so I will include information about the ways people in California celebrate the Lantern Festival. I've read about people who celebrate this holiday in Taiwan, but since it's not in the United States, I'm not sure whether I should include this in my presentation. I was planning to ask Gayoung about collaborating (since she is studying the Lunar New Year), but I realized that Gayoung is focusing more on why certain holidays get acknowledged as a day off while others don't, and I'm unsure whether our projects match. I will try, though. Thanks for the help professor!"
