It is hard to rank the 12 examples in order of preference. Everyone has a unique perspective on aesthetics and design. The article mentions “common elements” that should be considered when evaluating online storytelling designs.

I love the idea behind the “Riding the New Silk Road” storytelling example. The combination of text, photographs, videos, and the map as the background was great! Not only was it visually captivating, but it was creative and informative as well! Instead of the horizontal layout, we might want to make it vertical to include a larger map and more stories. I think it might flow better that way.
