The purpose of our project was to give people an insight as to the true history of America and to show how diverse it really was. We wanted to show that Lin-Manuel Miranda used a diverse cast to give over a certain message, which this presentation explains. We also wanted to give over the untold stories of Alexander Hamilton and other founding fathers.
People have this image in their head of Hamilton The Broadway Musical just being an entertaining show, when we think it is really much more than that. We hope that after going through our presentation, people can feel a greater connection to the United States’ history because the history involved a much more diverse group of people than the history textbooks show.
