How does bat material effect hitting performance?
Companies sell baseball bats and advertise that different bat types have better hitting potential than others. It is important that people are getting what they are advertised.

I compared the average distance traveled of three different bat types to see if there truly is a difference in performance. My brother and I recorded the distance of 20 hard hit balls with each bat. To ensure that the ball was hit hard, we marked the sweet spot on all three bats and made sure that each hard hit ball was at most one inch away from the sweet spot.
