For a previous Seminar 3 assignment, we studied and made an infographic about the correlation between shark sightings and rising water levels. We wanted to further our research on the topic, but for obvious reasons, BioBlitz does not involve the study of sharks. With the help of improvising and previous BioBlitz data, we chose to focus on fish and whether or not fish sightings have risen or declined in recent years. We originally focused on fish in general, but our professor suggested we research the most commonly found species of fish in BioBlitz and study whether or not they were affected by climate change, hence where our project was born.
