Temperatures in NYC have been rising over the years due to climate change. Although NYC has taken steps to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, average annual temperatures are still projected to rise in the coming decades. Rising temperatures pose a serious threat to birds. Our project examines the relationship between the rising temperatures and bird biodiversity in NYC. We hope to increase people’s understanding of the threats climate change poses to an urban ecosystem.
