Throughout history, students have been at the forefront of societal changes. The fight against climate change is no exception. Our projects seeks to highlight some student groups in the United States who have devoted themselves to lowering their school’s carbon footprint.
Doing research for this project was difficult. Our objective was to find climate groups at other campuses and analyze their impact. This was hard, as not many schools keep a log of their climate accomplishments. We managed to find data on the UC System in California.
The students we discuss in our project are an inspiration to us all. They are prime evidence that there is strength in numbers. We want to encourage ourselves and our fellow students to help create a greener world. We don’t want anyone to feel like the climate is an insurmountable problem. It is up to us to create the world we want to see. The choices that we make will have a massive impact, and each and everyone of us will have to live with those choices.
