Our poster represents our search to find a correlation between pollution and bird diversity. First, we gathered data from iNaturalist and drew comparisons to NYC district pollution rates. Our group took an interest in species diversity after the Bio Blitz. We quickly settled on birds and pollution as our general idea. Then, we narrowed it down to bird species diversity in comparison to air pollution by district. Our project reflects our team’s combined effort to explore the complex relationship between urbanization, pollution, and bird populations. We encourage scholars to explore the broader ecological impact of this dynamic relationship. Thank you for engaging with our project!
