Bio:

I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Psychology and a certificate candidate in Interactive Technology and Pedagogy at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York. My research operates at the intersection of Urban Studies, Youth Studies, and Internet Studies, and focuses on understanding the relationship between informational environments and young people’s work, play, civic engagement, and self-expression.

My dissertation, “MyDigitalFootprint.org: Informational Youth and the Securitization of Cyberspace,” is a participatory investigation into the political ecology of informational capitalism. I’m specifically interested in the mutual shaping of socio-economic development and young people’s development within an increasingly securitized and privatized informational environment.
