Author: J.A. Strub
In addition to being a lover of coffee, roast pork, and the music of late Detroit hip-hop producer J Dilla, J.A. Strub is a student of economics and public policy at Hunter College. He is currently a research intern at the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research and is a co-founder of Student Organization for Democratic Alternatives, a CUNY-wide group that seeks to promote economic democracy in New York City through education, activism, and vocational training. Through his studies and work, J.A. hopes to glean a greater understanding of how we all interact with the individuals and institutions that make up the world around us, and how communities can go about building new structures that encourage cooperation, free expression, collective prosperity, and equal treatment under law.
