I decided to choose this topic because my cultural heritage defines me. I wasn’t sure which aspect of my cultural heritage to choose from but after acknowledging how popular the musical side of my heritage has become, I had made my decision.
This project explores how much Bollywood music has changed ever since it was initially created. Through the decades it experimented with new styles, incorporated different musical influences, and adapted to changing its production to appeal to its audience. After viewing my project I want people to take away how influential Bollywood music is and how impactful both Western and Bollywood culture are in the modern era. Both genres share the floor and it’s essential that we appreciate each culture and tradition dearly.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I found it extremely enjoyable when I researched the topic as I found out new information that I had never known before. The video that I created opened my eyes to the everlasting world of Bollywood music and I hope it will do the same for anyone else who chooses to watch this video.
