Feel The Art

For the past month and a half I have been visiting several art venues. I have visited 3 comedy improv shows at the New York Upright Citizens Brigade, one multimedia performance called Black Zero at White Box, and one stage performance of Opera and Shakespeare: The Food of Love at the Manhattan School of Music. I went to these events because I wanted to see something special. I could have gone to concerts, or Broadway shows but I felt that I should focus on more unconventional art. To me art is a way to express how you feel. That is why I picked what I thought were the most expressive performances. I picked improv comedy as my core because comedy is all about expressing one’s self. Especially in improv, to be able to express one’s self at anytime, to me seems like the apex of art.
