Where is the love?

Bum…. bum bum bum BUmm

do do do do

Bum bum bum

la la… la la

For those who don’t know, that was Where Is The Love? by Black Eyed Peas.

Well, the love was definitely “in the house” when the Manhattan School of Music presented Opera and Shakespeare: The Food of Love.

Opera and Shakespeare: The Food of Love was a very interesting performance. It combined two types of art that are very closely relate (Opera and Shakespeare) and melded them together. This was something that I have never seen or heard of before. The combination seem like an obvious one but is also very new and never before experienced. There were many famous love scenes from several famous Shakespearean plays, such as, The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Sir John in Love and even the most notable West Side Story. Every scene was done in respect to the original script but every word was sung instead of spoken.

My thoughts….
