White Box

According to WhiteBox’s homepage, WhiteBox was founded in 1998 by a group of international curators and artists. WhiteBox’s main purpose is to stage, “original, conceptually driven shows.” (www.whiteboxny.org/info/info-index.html) WhiteBox has been opened for 11 years and continues to stage thought provoking art. They stage new rising artists as well as works that have been obscured by the history, for example Black Zero by Aldo Tambellini was performed in 1965, but many people do not know that it was one of the very first multimedia performances.
