Aktina means “beam” or “light” in Greek 1. Aktina FM is a Greek- American independent radio station running on New York’s public station. It is produced and hosted by Elena Maroulleti.
This station has been around for 21 years. It runs Saturdays and Sundays, providing many segments. There are segments on education, social issues, politics, arts and other areas that pertain to the Greek- American community. It is the first and only truly bilingual Greek-American radio in America.
