Due to the nature of our project, the social aspect of food sustainability around Brooklyn College received more direct attention than the other two aspects. A lot of the information we used came directly from interviews with consumers (mainly students), and food workers in and around the campus. The social aspect also seems to be what interests students and faculty in Brooklyn College the most.

Contrary to common belief, food can not merely be reduced to health, nutrition and calories; religion, culture, and common trends/social norms are just as important. In order to examine these effects, our group conducted interviews with both the consumers, who are the students and faculty, as well as those working behind the counter to find out more about these different food places.
