All participants will check in outside the Van Cortlandt Park Golf Lake House, located at 115 Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY 10463. Map
Algernon Sydney Sullivan Fountain
Look for BioBlitz tents and signage as you approach the Golf Lake House. The tents will be very close to the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Fountain, outside of the Golf Lake House. The area is at the southern end of the Hester and Piero’s Mill Pond, formerly known as Van Cortlandt Lake. The Golf Lake House is closest to the 242 St/Van Cortlandt Park 1 Train. You can follow the Empire State Trail through the park to check-in. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes.
Limited parking is also available in the park near the Golf Lake House, some free and some paid ($3). Parking fees and transportation fares are not covered by Macaulay. Restrooms are also available near the check-in area.
Walk-up registration is available for Shift F on Sunday 9/15 from 12:30-4:00pm. Students who are already registered may not elect to come as walk-ups in lieu of their scheduled shift.
