Macaulay Arts Night transformed the West 67th Street brownstone into a flourishing gallery of art forms, ranging from caricature, origami sculpture, and dance workshops to amazing paintings, drawings, and written work. The brownstone filled and emptied throughout the night as students from all campuses stopped by to perform, take part in the workshops, and view the artwork. Even those who just came to grab a bite ultimately became ensnared in the irresistible lure of the exhibitions, or at least got their caricature drawn by CSI alumni and cartoonist Patrick Young. With the Macaulay Septopus flooding social media to invite people to the event, Arts Night turned out to be one of the best events for the Macaulay community this year. Freshman curator Paulina Librizzi said, “Collecting 600 MetroCards for this event was worth it. I never thought people would want to learn how to make origami sculptures with them!”
