I really enjoyed the video of the guide which includes a walkthrough of the buildings, stores, and people of Chinatown. The flyer of their cultural guide of Chinatown includes famous landmarks, traditional buildings and desserts places. Through the video, I exactly felt like I am walking through the people and culture of the streets. In Chinatown, one can hear the Chinese (mainly Cantonese) language. I liked how they emphasize the tourist attraction like Chinatown Ice Cream Factory and Moca. I think that next time, your video should include parts of entering the places and showing the audience the interior structure of the buildings.

I liked how your video was literally a walk through of Chinatown so the viewer really gets a feel of what the neighborhood is like. Chinatown is my favorite part of the city just because of how interesting and unique the culture there is. My favorite street in Chinatown is Doyers Street, otherwise known as the “Bloody Angle”. The reason some people still refer to it as this today is because it was a popular spot for Chinese gang fights during the mid-twentieth century because it was almost hidden away from the sight of police. Today, Doyers Street has a bunch of yummy restaurants to eat at and is a great place to take pictures! 🙂 lol

I remember watching this video in class without the music and feeling like it lacked something. Now that you incorporated a musical piece in the background it makes me feel like I am exploring China Town with you, in your foot steps. I always walk around China Town, and oftentimes I get overwhelmed with all the things it has to offer. Sometimes, I end up leaving because I just do not know where to go and what to try. However, I like your culture guide because it sets a clear plan and where to go in that area. I am really excited to visit the ice cream factory and the Escape the Room. I tried ESR in Miami, and I cannot wait to try the thrilling experience in my own city. Great cultural guide.

Although I have been to Chinatown countless times, watching this video actually taught me a few things. First, I had no idea that there was a statue of Sen Yat-Sen statue in Chinatown. Sen Yat-Sen was highly regarded as one of the founders of the Republic of China, who declared their independence from Imperial China. Today in Guangzhou, China, the city where I was born, there is a prestigious university named after him. The second thing I discovered while watching this video is the Ice Cream Factory. Nowadays, we are accustomed to ice cream shops like “10 below”, which uses the Thai ice cream technique. It is nice seeing an ice cream factory that is almost 4 decades old. I will definitely go check out the place the next time I visit Chinatown. Thanks for the guide!

Your Chinatown urban arts and culture guide was really inspiring. Now I haven’t personally been to the neighborhood, however, after viewing this well put together guide, I am definitely going to plan a visit. I really enjoyed your brochure as it was impressively concise and informative, not to mention creative as well. I like that you included both the description of some tourist locations to visit as well as the actual history of Chinatown. The video that was linked to the QR code only made me want to visit the neighborhood even more than before. The cinematography was done very well.

One thing I particularly like about the brochure is that you did something truly different. Whereas other people might have gone with a more traditional approach to the brochure, you tried to make it more fun, interesting, and interactive. It definitely payed and allowed you to stand out from the rest. I especially like that you included each specific location’s address as well as a prospective price range for when someone would like to visit the area. This serves your brochure well. In regards to the video, I liked how you guys managed to include inklings of information throughout the video. The editing was great!

Also, the Tenement Museum is right by the area, which I think is really interesting.
