The Louis Armstrong House Museum is a historic landmark where the acclaimed Jazz trumpeter, Louis Armstrong, and his wife Lucille, lived in from 1943 to when he died in 1971. The Armstrong’s house was officially declared a New York City landmark in 1988. His house was preserved and opened to the public for guided tours. The house museum also hosts jazz events and concerts open to the public!
