"I think adding the concept of "memory" with the well-liked theme of food will provide an anchor to make sure the project and interviews have some substance. People who are interviewed will be able to link their past and the stories they have with their cultural foods and elaborate on them based on the depth of their memory. We won't just get a historical discourse about a favorite food, but a meaningful connection with a string of other stories with it. Also, memories will allow us to get a strong personal touch from the interviewed person. It will be interesting to see the stories that come out of this."
