Bees are one of the most important pollinators in environment. We decided to look at the female-to-male ratios of bees in our area and see which area had the biggest ratio. Our project looks at 2015 BioBlitz data surrounding bees in Coastal Parks in NYC and the idea of urbanization. The data listed the sex of the bees in three Coastal Parks in NYC: Pier 1, Pier 6, and Empire Fulton Ferry. We found that Pier 6 had the highest female-to-male ratio suggesting that the area had less urbanization.
