Living in Queens my whole life, I was pretty familiar with Corona.  However, I was oblivious to the world of online blogging.  This project was a particular struggle for me because I am pretty much computer illiterate.  Learning how to add pictures, use umapper, align text, and make movies on iMovie was a completely new experience for me.  Although most of these endeavors took me about two hours each, with the help of our ITF, Maggie, I was able to conquer the beast – our eportfolio.

On the site, I was originally in “the people” group, but working on the demographics of the educational system, I was switched to “the places” group under “educational institutions”.  I made the map for that page, showing the exact location of all the schools in the neighborhood.  I also made the short, 8-second video of the school bus at the top, using original video from the walking tour.  I was responsible for formatting the sliding pictures on the homepage.  These pictures are links to all the other pages on the site.  If these pictures were too confusing for the viewers, my classmates decided to leave a bar underneath with the same links.
