What’s Our Project?
Our project celebrates the art around NYC and intends to identify the art throughout New York City Subways—including architecture, poetry, and murals. We plan on elaborating upon the cultural significance the subway stations add to New York City. We will be giving a tour guide to our audience through the multiple ways $2.75 can be used within the subway system to tour the art of the city! Our presentation will be given in a slideshow where we travel our planned route and emphasize specific subway stations by describing the art featured at that stop. Overall, we aim to identify and appreciate the artwork we take for granted in our daily commute in the subway.
