This study analyzes the impact of climate change, specifically its impact on Lycorma delicatula, the spotted lanternfly. This invasive species was observed during the summer, comparing the years 2019 and 2022. By analyzing the impact of climate change on just the prevalence of one invasive species, it would also provide more insight on what the change in global temperatures can have on ecosystems like those impacted by the spotted lanternfly. The prevalence of spotted lanternflies in the year with higher temperatures, shows the potential impacts of higher temperatures on areas like Central Park.
