Our project takes a look at how the bumblebee population in New York City was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Bumbleebees are endangered and we wanted to see if less human activity from people quarantining affected the environment that they live in.

It is very interesting to see how much of an impact we have on the environment. I wonder what we can do now that quarantine has ended to maintain the positive effects of lessened human activity. Quarantine was a very unique situation; achieving or maintaining a similar change may be difficult, but it would be very positive on our part.

Something I like about this poster is how you made two seemingly unrelated things go together in a way that makes sense. Upon reading the title I was confused as to how these two things could possibly be related, but I think you did an excellent job with your data and analysis section to solidify the connection between the two. I’m curious as to what sparked your group’s interest in this topic.

Great poster!! Really informative, I never would’ve thought that COVID would impact bumblebee population. That’s interesting connection to research. The results are make sense especially how you guys explained how less human activity increased bumblebee activity.
